Stokely's Ham Cornucopias

Sounds like a Thanksgiving recipe in April, but who says the cornucopia is only for November?? These little ham cornucopias would make a great hors d'Oeuvres all year long! Low-carb lovers would like this too because there's no bread. The ad says "Finest down to earth plan for a heavenly luncheon" and I agree!



Campbells Chicken ala King

Coming out of a vintage Better Homes and Gardens is this hearty soup recipe. Good ole' Campbells soup is still around, so all the ingredients should be readily available. This recipe sounds delicious! I'd pass on the pimento and green pepper but...to each his own!

Durkee's Margarine and Coconut


  Durkee's made margarine and coconut?? Is this the same Durkee's that made fried onions?? Well, this item is vintage now, but the recipes can easily be made with today's ingredients.
 First up is a cheese sauce for a springtime platter. Yummm! There is nothing like melted cheese, and this adds a touch of garlic salt. Pour it on everything!!
  The second recipe keeps the springtime theme with a coconut mocha frosting - Wow! Fans of coconut out there will love this!




Peaches in Orange Sauce

I forgot to write down the date for these recipes, but I believe it was early 1950's Better Homes and Gardens. A cling peaches recipes sounds very early 50's, canned fruit were all the rage back then. Here's a twist on regular canned peaches-no pun intended!-an orange twist that is. How simple is this recipe?? And it sounds mighty fine for this warm springtime weather. Summer dessert???...
